From 1999 to 2016, I served as Associate Dean for Academic Affairs. My research interests have included the effect of adsorption on bacterial metabolism, cariogenic potential of non-caloric and non-nutritive sweetening agents, effect of smokeless tobacco extracts on bacterial metabolism, genotoxicity of tobacco extracts, antimutagenic potential of glycyrrhizin, the antibacterial activity of dental implant metal ions and the reduction in aerosols generated by ultrasonic scaling.
